Ford Motor Company Supports the American Center for Mobility with $5 Million Pledge

With an eye to the future, Ford Motor Company has announced a $5 million pledge to support the American Center for Mobility (ACM) and its planned 500 acre testing site.

With the pledge, Ford will become a Founder-level sponsor and a member of a government-industry team to support ACM and its plan to create an automated proving ground in Southeast Michigan for companies to develop automated vehicle technology while working on standards and education programs.

We hate to generalize, but according to a new IIHS study of over 1,000 survey respondents, men between 35 and 55 years old are the most likely group to admit they don't always wear a seatbelt when they're a rear-seat passenger.
