Summer Vs. Winter Tires

The type of tire that you put on your car has a lot to do with the weather outside. If it is warm or wet, performance tires can provide excellent traction and better handling. However, if it is cold or snowy outside, it is probably a good idea to use tires designed for all four seasons.

It may be possible to use summer tires during the warm months and winter tires when the snow starts to fall. However, buying additional tires could cost more money while changing them could require spending time a car owner doesn't have to rotate them in and out every few months.

Regardless of what tires a driver chooses to use, they should be properly inflated and have sufficient tread on them. Drivers can visit our service center at Freeway Ford Trucks to have a vehicle's tires and other components inspected in a professional and timely manner.
